Acquired by Precious Moments, Inc. in 2012, Ne’Qwa Art® is the largest producer of reverse glass paintings. Ne’Qwa Art® talented demonstration artist, Trieste, shares a centuries old art technique that is practiced only by very few, highly skilled painters. Known in the Mandarin language as “Ne’Qwa,” this beautiful art form of painting on the inside of glass flourished during the 17th century and has captivated emperors and art connoisseurs for many years.
Trieste’s love for the arts began at an early age and has become a passionate part of her life. Though she is a city girl at heart, Trieste was born and raised in and around the Texas Hill Country. Her love of nature draws her back home often to nurture her creativity. “Every memory I have involves art, painting, dancing, playing music, acting,” says Trieste. “As I’ve grown up, art has been the one true thing in a lifetime of new experiences. It keeps me going.” As a representative for Ne’Qwa Art®, Trieste travels to trade shows and stores throughout the year. In addition to demonstrating this ancient form of art, Trieste will answer questions about Ne’Qwa Art® and its line of mouth-blown glass decorative accessories that feature the art of many licensed artists.
