Intrigued with the slick commercial art and advertising of the late 50’s and 60’s, SHAG strives for a tight, clean and well-crafted appearance to his work. SHAG, (a name which comes from the last two letters of his first name and the first two letters of his last name, Josh Agle), is a product of the sprawling suburbs of Los Angeles, California.
A multifaceted talent, Brian Sisson is not only a designer, illustrator, creative director and photographer, but a talented musician, bodysurfer, and even said to be a humorist and eccentric. His Disney original paintings and prints are bright, bold and reflect both his humorous side and love for special moments in a classic movie or a favorite Park location. His loyal collectors also like his well known depictions of vintage signs, miles of sunny beaches, tikis, car culture, scenic’s and quietly poignant suburban snapshots.
